Power Quality Measures according to EN 50160  standards

To support electric energy savings and electric line reliability, we have to measure the exact electric parameters.

With portable measuring devices we offer Power Quality measuring at single and 3 phase lines on low- and medium voltages. The measure of 10 connection points are possible simultaneously:

• Measures under 1000V voltages with direct connections or with the special voltage splitters developed by our engineers,
• Measures above 1000V voltages through the installed current and voltage transformers.

The aims of the measures are always determined by the customer requirements. Our engineering colleagues offer you the optimal measuring solution:

• Standard electric parameters: voltage, current, frequency, apparent-, real- and reactive power, power factor, energy consumption.
• Energy management measuring to analyze the real power, reactive power, power factor and consumption trends and average values according to the utility measures. (15 minutes averaging period),
• Electric power reliability measures (voltages, harmonics) according to EN 50160 and EN6100-2-4 standards,

Special measures:
• Flicker effects according to EN 50160 standard (periodic time: 10 min., measuring time: 1 week),
• Registration of voltage interruptions, voltage stops, short time over voltages,
• Fast check measures to identify fast changing parameters, 500 µs periodic time (motor start effects),
• Readout of utility power measuring devices, evaluation of consumption data,
• Thermo camera measures,
• Light measures.

The evaluation of the measured data is always reported to the customer. Besides the graphs, the measure report contains the explanation of the information, discovered problems. The measure report offers to our customers application options, solutions to the electric power quality problems.
